We are all on a pilgrimage called life. Some fractured some broken, some repaired. But, never the less whatever our life route looks like we are all definitely on a personal, spiritual, unchartered exploration of unearthing us.

Some of us discover who we are because of what we are, and what we stand for; that’s great. But for others it’s just simply going through life day to day existing, with no vision, no goal, no identity no purpose. Some of us feel like we’re reinventing the wheel, wasting time going round and round in circles, ending up at the same place we started from. Sounds familiar? Hmm! That can be so exhausting, time wasting and frustrating at the same time!

It's time to get off our treadmill from nowhere to somewhere. To grasp internally who we are and learn to discover the things we like or the things we dislike. What makes us tick, what motivates us, what makes us get up each morning. In discovering us, we understand who we are.

“The function of a woman is not just to exist, but to live with purpose and expectations. Not to waste our days just living but knowing our purpose in not prolonging them, but to use our God given gifts and talents”.

Let’s not waste a moment longer……

How do we know if an open door is from God? ….. Simply we A.S.K.

Jesus invites us at the door to Ask questions, in order for us to receive answers.

Jesus invokes us to Seek, in order for us to find.

Jesus instructs us to Knock, in order for the door of opportunity to open to us.

Matt 7:7

In Revelation 3:8 tells us that God knows our works, Behold! I have set before you an open door that no one can shut, preventing others in denying us our purpose and destiny. God is our ultimate doorkeeper.

A door has three definitions, like a three stranded chord. Firstly, it has an ACCESS place to approach, through a single-entry point from one place to another. We cannot go round it or over it, we have to go through it. Secondly, PARTICIPATION requires us to physically open that door in order to walk through to the other side. Lastly, when we are the other side of the door, we can see clearly what was hidden, in the amazing OPPORTUNITIES that lies ahead waiting for us. Are we ready to stand up, step out into our new probabilities?

Just because an open door looks a little uncertain, does not mean we should not open or walk through it. We need to create time and space to seek and hear clearly from the Lord, through prayer as a compass point in determining our pivotal directions. In order for us to do this we must ask, seek and pray for a download of wisdom, revelation, insight and understanding in our in box from the Holy Spirit so that we do not go through the wrong door.

Here are a few bible principles in how to discern if that open door is from God:

An open door will never negate or contradict God’s word. God knows our plans, He gives us choices in the decisions that we make, whether they are knowingly good or unknowingly bad. We have a choice through our free will to make that call. We just need to make sure; it's the right door that is being opened! God would not open a door that would cause us to disobey or to compromise us in order for us to enter through. See, I have set before you a wide-open door which no one can shut. An open door will be affirmed by confirmation through the written or spoken word of God. Logos, meaning the written word of God, Rhema, meaning the spoken word of God. Either way our heavenly Father speaks to us through these dimensions. An open door can also be validated by a Pastor or a well trusted and respected friend who lives by the meanings of scriptures. An open door requires us to rely, depend and trust in Him as our doorkeeper, when taking that first step in the right direction onto a new and different path with Jesus. Gods ultimate promise to you is this….T The door that He opens for you, no person can shut. Rev 3:8. That’s a Kingdom promise!

So, here we are! do you see a new and open door for 2023 that Jesus is speaking directly to you about? Have you inevitably been putting it off and placing it on the back burner? Here's the challenge! do you think it’s time to summon your thoughts, attentions and focus, to stand up, step out of your comfy arm chair you’ve been sitting in for so long, in taking that next pivotal step through faith, to trust, depend, rely and believe in Jesus to lead you into all possibilities beyond your wildest comprehension, that he’s got you? Jesus will not allow your foot to slip providing your sights are on Him.

Takeaway……

It's time to step out of your comfort zone, to re-envision yourself and to fully explore stepping into your growth zone.
